Exclusively for Xebia, Jeff Sutherland - founder of Scrum and guru - will host this training in the Netherlands! During two inspiring days he will share all the ins- and outs of Scrum with you. Due to a well-balanced programme full of theory, practical exercises and real-world stories, you are able to start with Scrum straight away.

MEMBERSHIP AND CERTIFICATION
On completion, you will receive a complimentary membership of nlScrum (www.meetup.com/nlscrum), the biggest Scrum user group in the Netherlands. Here you can share your experiences with other Scrum users.

Furthermore, after attending the training you will need to pass an online exam within 90 days. You are then registered as Certified ScrumMaster, which also includes a one-year membership of the Scrum Alliance, (www.Scrumalliance.org) where valuable materials and information are available exclusively to ScrumMasters.

- Why Scrum works, what Scrum is, origins

2. Sprints
- Potentially shippable, architecture on a Scrum project, sequential vs. overlapping work, sprint length, release sprints,
abnormal terminations

3. The ScrumMaster
- Responsibilities, ScrumMaster mindset, situational Scrum Mastering, ScrumMaster as team member

4. The 59-minute Scrum project

5. The Product Owner
- Description, responsibilities, sharing the vision

6. Product backlog
- Size of the items, user stories on the product backlog, backlog-writing workshops, invest in your backlog

7. Meetings
- The daily Scrum, sprint review, sprint retrospective

8. Sprint planning
- Sprint prioritization, sprint goal, sprint planning meeting, sprint backlog items

9. Release planning
- Velocity, estimating the product backlog, release planning meeting

10. Tracking progress
- Sprint burn-down charts, release burn-down charts, task boards

11. The team
- Composition, teams are cross-functional, organizing

12. Scalability
- The Scrum of Scrums, focus of initial sprints, shared vs. specific product backlogs, scaling the product owner, getting started
