Description
BDD Immersion Workshop: Behaviour-Driven Development for Developers (BDD-01-01)
Are you a Java developer? Would you like to be able to discuss your work more easily with the business and other team members? Then this BDD training course is for you!
In this highly practical Behaviour-driven development workshop, you will learn how to add the BDD methodology to your existing Agile development process. You will find out how the vocabulary you use while developing software, affects your approach and how to use the “outside-in” approach to software development. Upon completion of this BDD course, you will understand how to write examples of behaviour to aid good design, form living documentation and keep your code easy to use and change.
LEARN HOW TO:
- Talk about unit testing without using the word “test”
- Use DDD's ubiquitous language in combination with BDD's vocabulary
- Understand the benefits of BDD as a pull-system
- Use standard techniques in conjunction with BDD to allow design patterns to emerge
- Use mocks to assign responsibility to collaborating classes
- Write maintainable scenarios to describe the system at a high level
- Discuss the value that your code provides in language that the business understands
